Sindh Chief Minister Reviews Major Urban Development Projects with World Bank

Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held a detailed meeting with a high-level delegation from the World Bank, led by its Country Director Mr. Najee Banhasin, to review progress on several significant development projects in the province. The projects reviewed include the Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project, the Karachi Mobility Project, and the Competitive and Liveable City of Karachi Project among others.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the meeting was attended by provincial ministers and key officials who discussed the ongoing efforts and future plans for these initiatives. Highlights from the meeting included updates on the supply and installation of flow meters as part of the water project, the development of road infrastructure and the BRT system under the mobility project, and improvements in urban property tax administration. The World Bank delegation was informed about the progress and challenges of these projects, ensuring alignment with the agreed timelines and objectives.

The Chief Minister and the World Bank team also reviewed the Sindh Early Learning Enhancement through Classroom Transformation project, aimed at improving primary education in select districts, and the Sindh Integrated Health and Population Project, which focuses on enhancing health services for vulnerable populations. The discussions reflected a strong commitment to improving the infrastructure and public services in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
