Karachi, The 31st Apex Committee meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah unveiled that a Madarsa teacher, involved in the Karachi Police Office (KPO) attack, was identified and neutralized during the operation. The meeting, focused on addressing the role of illegal foreigners in the region’s security issues, was held at the CM House and included high-level provincial and military officials.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, the discussion highlighted the teacher’s terrorist activities, prompting a decision for a comprehensive mapping of illegal foreigners living and studying in Sindh. This initiative aims to develop accurate data to support their repatriation. The committee was briefed on the significant numbers of illegal foreigners and the status of repatriated, deported, or voluntarily returned individuals.
Further discussions at the meeting addressed broader law enforcement strategies, including the ongoing operations against crime and the establishment of a fusion center to enhance coordination between law enforcement agencies. The Chief Minister reiterated the province’s commitment to implementing security measures directed by the President of Pakistan, focusing on combating various forms of crime to ensure public safety.
