Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women by emphasizing the respect and dignity afforded to women in Sindh and highlighting the ongoing issue of violence and human rights violations globally. He outlined the steps taken by the Sindh government to protect and empower women in the province.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, the Pakistan People’s Party, to which Shah belongs, has historically prioritized women’s issues, providing significant representation to women in national elections. Shah reiterated the party’s stance that empowering women, including mothers, sisters, and daughters, is crucial to ending violence against them.
