Islamabad: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah recently met with the new Consul General of Turkiye, Ergül Kadak, and the new Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Muhammad Sakib Sadakat, in separate meetings at CM House to discuss trade and investment opportunities.
Mr. Shah emphasized the significance of bolstering relationships with both nations, highlighting the strong historical bonds with Turkiye and the fraternal ties with Bangladesh.
In his discussion with Mr. Kadak, the Chief Minister underscored the necessity of expanding bilateral commerce and showcased Sindh’s major infrastructure projects, inviting Turkish companies to invest in Karachi’s public transport system. Mr. Kadak expressed enthusiasm for investment prospects, praising Karachi’s welcoming atmosphere. A follow-up meeting between Sindh’s Investment Department and the Turkish Consul General was scheduled to explore specific ventures.
The Chief Minister’s meeting with Mr. Sadakat focused on increasing trade cooperation between Sindh and Bangladesh. The two officials also addressed Pakistan’s recent flood crisis.
Mr. Shah reiterated Sindh’s commitment to strengthening relationships with both countries and expressed eagerness to broaden collaboration in trade, investment, and developmental initiatives.
