Sikh leader flayed for communalizing Sikh girl’s marriage in IIOJK

Srinagar, July 02, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Jammu and Kashmir (IFJHRJK) has condemned the Sikh leader, Manjinder Singh Sirsa for communalizing the issue of marriage of a revert Sikh girl with a Kashmiri Muslim. According to Kashmir Media Service, the IFJHRJK Chairman, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the comments of Manjinder Singh Sirsa were tantamount to inciting the communal tensions in the valley. He added that Sirsa should be booked under stringent laws and taken to task for trying to fan violence in the valley.

 

He said that the Sikh girl had made it clear before the magistrate and in her marriage agreement that she had converted to Islam on her own will. He said, the girl has also married a Muslim man, Shahid Butt on her own will. He said, such incidents have also happened in the past and these incidents were never used to fan tensions. He said that police should register an FIR against him so that such incidents do not happen in future.
