Sibi Commissioner Advocates for Reduced Load Shedding Amid Rising Temperatures

Sibi: Amidst escalating heatwaves, Commissioner Sibi Division Syed Zahid Shah convened a review meeting to address the urgent need for minimizing electricity load shedding, particularly in rural areas heavily reliant on agricultural feeders.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during the meeting, Commissioner Shah highlighted the disproportionate impact of load shedding on rural communities and agricultural operations, which are crucial for the district’s economy and sustenance. He stressed that the existing feeders are under significant strain and that enhancing electricity supply to these areas is imperative to prevent hardship for the villagers.

To alleviate these issues, Commissioner Shah announced plans to write to the Chief of Kesco to ensure that agricultural and village feeders receive more consistent power supplies. He also directed the SE Kesco to implement immediate measures to improve electricity distribution and to repair damaged transformers promptly.

Additionally, recognizing the recurring issues with electricity infrastructure, Shah proposed the establishment of a local workshop to expedite repairs and maintenance, ensuring that residents of Sibi face minimal disruptions in their electricity service during peak usage periods.
