Sibi Administration Prepares for Milad-ul-Nabi Celebration with Enhanced Security and Coordination Measures


Sibi: In preparation for the upcoming Milad-ul-Nabi celebration on 12 Rabi Al-Awwal, a high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Jahanzeb Sheikh was convened to ensure that all arrangements for peace, order, and security are in place. The meeting, attended by key administrative and law enforcement officials, focused on detailed planning for the religious procession and associated events in the city.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the session saw contributions from various officers including Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ali Asghar Magsi, Assistant Commissioners Mansoor Ali Shah and Liaqat Ali Jatoi, and Chairman Municipal Committee Sardar Muhammad Khan Khajak. High-ranking police and health officials, as well as religious scholars from different schools of thought, also attended the meeting to deliberate on the necessary security and logistical measures.



The Deputy Commissioner outlined the primary security strategies which include the installation of walk-through gates at procession entry points, cordoning off vehicle and pedestrian access routes, and the appointment of focal persons by the police department and procession administrators to enhance coordination. These measures aim to facilitate smooth participation in the procession without disruptions.



Furthermore, the municipal committee has been tasked with ensuring environmental cleanliness along the procession routes, including the covering of manholes and the removal of any temporary encroachments that could obstruct the passage. The health department and other relevant agencies have been directed to finalize all preparatory steps promptly.



Deputy Commissioner Sheikh also addressed potential electricity load shedding issues, instructing that the timings be adjusted to accommodate the procession schedule to avoid any inconvenience to the participants.



In a bid to foster communal harmony and prevent any disturbances, Sheikh appealed to religious leaders from all sects to support the administration’s efforts to maintain peace. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation from all stakeholders, including providing vehicle details to the police ahead of the event to streamline security operations.



The meeting concluded with a special prayer for national security and peace, underscoring the collective responsibility towards a successful and peaceful Milad-ul-Nabi celebration.
