SIAL Canada 2024: Pakistan Showcases Diverse Food Products in Montreal


Montreal, SIAL Canada 2024, the largest food exhibition in Canada, opened today in Montreal, showcasing a diverse array of food products from around the world, including a significant presence from Pakistan. The three-day event features over 800 exhibitors from 44 countries and expects to attract more than 21,000 professional visitors.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Pakistan pavilion was inaugurated by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Mr. Zaheer A. Janjua. The pavilion features ten Pakistani companies with over 20 participants, presenting products such as rice, fruit, pink salt, and other food industry items. The exhibition is the only event of its kind in Canada that offers a comprehensive range of food products all under one roof, and it provides an important platform for promoting bilateral trade between Pakistan and Canada.



High Commissioner Janjua highlighted the importance of SIAL Canada as a pivotal venue for international trade, particularly for enhancing the visibility of Pakistan’s food sector on the global stage. The strong interest in the Pakistan pavilion at the event may lead to increased bilateral trade opportunities with Canada.
