SIA Seizes Property of APHC-AJK Leader Kifayat Rizvi in Srinagar

Srinagar: In a significant legal maneuver, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) under New Delhi’s directive has seized a substantial property belonging to Kifayat Rizvi, a leader of the APHC-AJK in Srinagar, located in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the targeted property, a plot of land spanning one Kanal and three Marlas in the Shariefabad HMT region of Srinagar, was attached following a directive from the Additional Sessions Judge of Jammu, acting in capacity as the NIA court. This attachment stems from Rizvi’s alleged involvement in pro-freedom activities within the region, specifically in collaboration with Fayaz Hussain Jafary, a detained leader of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami.

In his capacity as a journalist and editor of Kashmir Media Service, Rizvi has been actively documenting and broadcasting issues pertinent to IIOJK, focusing on alleged Indian human rights violations and promoting the Kashmiri self-determination cause. This media role, coupled with his political activities, appears to have drawn the scrutiny leading to this property attachment.
