Srinagar, The State Investigation Agency (SIA), operating under Delhi’s control, has filed a charge-sheet against twelve Kashmiris in connection with the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit, Sanjay Sharma, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Sanjay Sharma was fatally shot by unidentified gunmen in the Achhan area of Pulwama on February 26 of the previous year. The SIA, in its pursuit of the case, has now presented a charge-sheet to a Special Court in the Pulwama district.
The individuals named in the charge-sheet are Jazim Farooq Wani, Zafar Hussain Butt, Nassir Farooq Shah, Aamir Hussain Wani, Shameem Ahmed Butt, Towseef Ahmed Pandit, Sajjad Ahmed Butt, Sarjeel Ahmed Butt, Danish Ahmed Thokar, Ubaid Ahmed Paddar, and Sahil Bashir Dar. Notably, three among them, namely Jazim Farooq Wani, Danish Hamid Thokar, and Ubaid Ahmed Paddar, have been killed by Indian troops in separate cordon and search operations.
The filing of this charge-sheet marks a significant development in the investigation of Sanjay Sharma’s death. It also raises questions about the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the three individuals killed in military operations.
