Srinagar, Today, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) controlled by New Delhi has carried out a series of raids in various locations across the Indian-administered regions of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the districts of Islamabad and Kulgam.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a police official revealed that these operations are part of a broader investigation that initially began in the town of Islamabad. The SIA, in coordination with the Indian Central Reserve Police Force and local police, executed the search warrants issued by a Special Court. During the raids, the authorities reportedly entered several homes, confiscating mobile phones, computers, laptops, and various documents related to bank accounts and property ownership.
The focus of these raids and the nature of the investigation remain undisclosed, but the involvement of the SIA suggests a significant level of concern from the authorities. The transfer of the case from local police to the SIA indicates an escalation in the seriousness with which these matters are being addressed in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir.
