Shia Delegation Meets Punjab AIG to Discuss Chehlum Security Arrangements

Lahore: A delegation representing the Shia community, including organizers and caretakers of the Chehlum Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) processions and majalis, met with Additional Inspector General (AIG) Operations Punjab, Shehzada Sultan, at the Central Police Office to discuss security measures for the upcoming religious observances.

According to Punjab Police, the meeting focused on ensuring foolproof security for the Chehlum processions and majalis, similar to the measures taken during Ashura. AIG Sultan outlined the planned security details, which include thorough briefings for personnel on the sensitivity of their duties, improved conduct with the public, adequate lighting along procession routes, and minimal unnecessary road closures.
