Ghizer: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated newly constructed houses for the victims of the 2022 floods at Buber village in Ghizer district today. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister recalled his last visit to the area in August 2022, describing how it was devastated by rains and floods. He expressed satisfaction over the construction of the new houses.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of third-party validation to address any potential issues or shortcomings with the newly constructed houses. He also directed the local administration to begin construction of a school, playground, and dispensary, which would be equipped with essential facilities such as ultrasound and X-ray machines. The Prime Minister tasked the Education Minister with personally overseeing the construction of the school.
Additionally, the Prime Minister highlighted the need for installing chimneys in the new houses to protect residents from the harmful effects of smoke. In his remarks, Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his support in the construction of the houses.
