Islamabad, In the upcoming elections for the office of Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Umar Ayub of the Sunni Ittehad Council have officially submitted their nomination papers, setting the stage for the contest.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Secretary of the National Assembly received the nominations, marking a pivotal moment in Pakistan’s political landscape. Shehbaz Sharif, representing a coalition between the PML-N and PPP, and Umar Ayub, the Sunni Ittehad Council’s choice, are now confirmed contenders in the race for the country’s top executive position.
