Islamabad: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) export remittances in Pakistan have seen a considerable rise, increasing by over 34 percent to reach $1.20 billion during the first four months of the current financial year.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, highlighted that ICT exports were valued at $894 million during the same period last year. The increase reflects efforts to bolster the country’s technology sector.
The Ministry of IT, along with the Pakistan Software Export Board and the IT industry, is committed to further enhancing IT exports. This initiative is supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council, aiming to drive continued growth in the sector.
