Sharad Pawar Accuses BJP of Promoting ‘Hindutva Fascism’ in India

Mumbai, Nationalist Congress Party founder Sharad Pawar has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of promoting “Hindutva fascism” in India, using a five-point agenda that includes emphasis on cow protection and ideology of RSS leader M S Golwalkar.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Pawar, while addressing party workers in Shirdi city, criticized the BJP for its alleged agenda. He claimed that the party’s programme involves privatization in various sectors, fostering hatred towards the Muslim community, and religious polarization. Pawar also accused the BJP of attempting to take control of independent institutions such as the judiciary, the Election Commission, central agencies, and the Reserve Bank. He highlighted the BJP’s focus on “manuwad”, ultra-nationalism, and aggressive stance towards Pakistan.

Pawar further alleged that the Modi government has shown disrespect towards women, citing incidents like the disrobing and parading of women in Manipur. He concluded by pointing out the BJP’s unfulfilled promises and the situation in states where the party is not in power, suggesting an unfavorable condition for the BJP.
