Shahid Afridi Visits United Nations Headquarters in New York

New York: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi visited the United Nations Headquarters at the invitation of Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations. Afridi received a tour of the UN facilities and was briefed on the organization’s efforts in promoting global peace, security, and sustainable development.

According to Radio Pakistan, during his visit, Afridi met with Ambassador Ahmad, who praised his contributions to cricket and his humanitarian work. The ambassador highlighted Afridi’s impact on underserved communities and emphasized the role of sports in fostering peace and international cooperation.
