Islamabad, June 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): Being the first woman Prime Minister of the Islamic world, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto left unforgettable prints in the annals of political history of world says NA Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf. The whole nation pays rich tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her 70th birth anniversary.
Islamabad, 20th June 2023: Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that Shaheed Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto has the honour of being the first elected woman Prime Minister of the Islamic world. He said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for the restoration and strengthening of democracy in the country. He also added, “her sacrifices for the restoration and promotion of democracy in the country will always be remembered.” The speaker said that Shaheed Mohtrama always fought for the protection of the rights of farmers, labourers and the downtrodden sections of the society. He expressed these views in his message on the occasion of the 70th birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, which is celebrated on June 21 every year across the nation.
The speaker also said that Benazir’s mission was to establish a democratic system and a society based on equality. He also said that her mission was in fact the mission of the leader of the people, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The speaker said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto always struggled to promote the strength of institutions, constitutional supremacy, and harmony between the federation and the provinces. He said that Shaheed Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto promoted tolerance and dialogue instead of imposing ideas in politics. He struggled to make the country a cradle of peace by purifying it from the scourge of terrorism.
The speaker said that the way Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari managed the party and the country after the martyrdom of Ms. Benazir Bhutto is admirable. He paid tribute to Chairman of People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and said that under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto, the party is carrying on the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
