Srinagar, October 23, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Vice Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has reiterated the APHC’s appeal to the people of the territory to observe complete shutdown on 27 October to convey a strong message to India that they reject its illegal occupation of their homeland.
It was on 27 October in 1947 when Indian troops had invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan of the subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a message from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail expressed grave concern over the deteriorating situation in the occupied territory. The APHC leader who has spent half of his age in hell like jails of India and dedicated his whole life for the sacred cause of freedom from Indian subjugation said the Indian fascist regime should read writing on the wall that its state terrorism has failed to subdue the freedom sentiment of the people of IIOJK and they are determined to take freedom movement to its logical conclusion.
Shabbir Shah expressed satisfaction over the morale of freedom loving Kashmiris who despite the worst kind of suppression adopted by India have not surrendered their just cause. He also lauded the people’s grand political gesture to remain absolutely unconcerned about the visits of any Indian leader to IIOJK and said that the great people who fight for their inalienable right to self-determination never beg for petty perks and privileges from their occupiers.
“We have sacrificed a lot which have no match in the world history of resistance movements, so we have no option but to lead our freedom movement to its logical conclusion,” he added.
Denouncing the inhuman methods of suppression and repression used by India against the civil population in the occupied territory, the APHC leader said a war between the people and the army of an occupier has always culminated in the grand victory of the people.
Shabbir Shah paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri youth martyred by Indian troops in the last week. He maintained that the Kashmiri martyrs have nourished the freedom movement with their blood and Kashmiri people are duty-bound to accomplish the mission of these martyrs at all costs.
The APHC leader urged the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, to take cognizance of Indian brutalities including ruthless killings, arbitrary arrests, use of draconian laws, extrajudicial executions and rape of women in IIOJK and play role in settling the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council’s resolutions.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement (JKPRM) General Secretary, Dr Musaib Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar said that 27 October would be observed as Black Day. He said that the Kashmiris’ commitment and sacrifices, which had centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the world level, would not be allowed to go in vain.
He appealed to the Kashmiris living outside Jammu and Kashmir to hold demonstrations outside the United Nations offices and Indian embassies on October 27 to register protest against India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
The JKPRM also paid tributes to all recently martyred youth and victims of Bijbehara massacre as well as Shaheed Rauf Rasool and Shaheed Mohammad Ashraf Dar on their martyrdom anniversaries and maintained that the mission of Kashmiri martyrs would not be accomplished at all costs.
The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad said October 27 is the blackest day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that anti-India demonstrations and rallies would be organized in the district headquarters of Azad Jammu and Kashmir including the capital Muzaffarabad to mark October 27 as Black Day.
