New Delhi, September 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):Several people have been reportedly killed in a shootout inside the premises of a court in New Delhi. Among those dead are also two attackers, who entered the court premises in lawyers’ attire at Rohini court in Delhi.
NDTV reported that one Jitender Gogi, a gangster, was allegedly shot dead. Gogi was being produced at Rohini court when the armed members of the rival gang, dressed as lawyers opened fire. One female lawyer too has sustained injuries. More than 30 rounds of bullets were fired in the shootout.
Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana was quoted by a news agency claiming that two criminals opened fire at gangster (Jitender Mann) ‘Gogi’ when he was taken to the (Rohini) court for a hearing. “In retaliation, police shot dead both the attackers. One of them was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000,” Asthana said. Gogoi, a notorious gangster, was arrested around two years ago from neighbouring Gurgaon in Haryana.
