Series of Earthquakes Strike Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in 24 Hours

Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been shaken by a series of 11 earthquakes and aftershocks within a span of 24 hours, causing concern among residents and authorities.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the region experienced an unusual seismic activity, with five consecutive earthquakes occurring on Monday afternoon followed by two aftershocks later that evening. The series continued into Tuesday morning with four additional earthquakes, bringing the total count to 11 tremors in just one day.

The epicenter of these earthquakes has been identified in the Zanskar, Kargil, and Kishtwar areas of the occupied territory. Local experts have interpreted the frequency of these mild tremors as a potentially positive sign, suggesting that they might decrease the chances of a more severe earthquake occurring. However, they have also advised the public to remain vigilant and to adopt precautionary measures in the wake of this unusual seismic activity.
