Hub: The Government of Serbia is collaborating with the Government of Balochistan to enhance the fisheries industry, marking a significant step towards economic growth and improved livelihoods for local fishermen. This initiative, led by the current Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, and Advisor Industries, Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, aims to modernize fishing practices and improve safety standards.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Balochistan Fishermen Cooperative Society Chairman Mir Ali Akbar Zehri emphasized the importance of this program. He noted that it is expected to elevate the living standards of fishermen in the region by offering modern training in fishing health and safety. This initiative is seen as a gateway to economic prosperity for the fishing community of Balochistan.

The efforts of various government officials, including Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Federal Minister Jam Kamal Khan, and President Asif Ali Zardari’s Spokesman for Balochistan and Fisheries Industries Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, are considered commendable. Secretary Fisheries Balochistan has also played a significant role in advancing this initiative. The program will incorporate feedback from fishermen in Jiwani Dam, Kandmalir, and Gadani, with plans for officials to visit these coastal areas shortly.
