Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb Conducts Surprise Inspections at Rawalpindi Hospitals

Lahore: At the behest of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb unexpectedly visited three major hospitals in Rawalpindi to inspect facilities and the operation of a new emergency ward.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Senior Minister Aurangzeb toured Holy Family Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital, and District Headquarters Hospital, causing quite a stir among hospital staff and officials. Her visit included an inspection of the newly completed emergency ward at Holy Family Hospital, which is set to open this week. This new facility, constructed swiftly to address a critical need, marks a significant improvement in the hospital’s capacity to handle emergencies.

During her visits, Minister Aurangzeb reviewed various hospital departments including emergency services, operation theaters, and patient care facilities, emphasizing the government’s commitment to quality and timely healthcare services. She also made inquiries into the care of specific patients, including Halima Bibi from Mianwali, who was critically injured and transported to Rawalpindi by air ambulance on directives from the Chief Minister. The patient and her family expressed their gratitude for the timely medical intervention facilitated by the provincial government.

Minister Aurangzeb affirmed that such initiatives reflect Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s dedication to serving the public and improving healthcare infrastructure in Punjab.
