Senior Management Course Delegation Visits Central Police Office Karachi for Insightful Exchange

Karachi, A 41-member delegation from the 34th batch of the Senior Management Course (SMC) visited the Central Police Office (CPO) in Karachi for a comprehensive briefing and discussion on key policing initiatives. The Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh reported that the delegation was led by SMC’s Directing Staff, Javed Zia, and was received by Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, along with other high-ranking officials.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, The meeting focused on various critical topics including the impact of people-friendly policing on society, anti-terrorism measures, and the enhancement of operational and investigative duties of the police force. The IG Sindh shared details about the steps being taken to promote people-friendly policing, highlighting the installation of CCTV cameras at police stations for better monitoring and effective complaint registration. He also mentioned the Safe City project under the Sindh government, aimed at offering comprehensive solutions to combat crimes.

IG Riffat Mukhtar Raja outlined the measures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of police operations and investigations. This includes modernizing the training curriculum, introducing specialized courses for police officers and youth, and providing training opportunities from institutions such as the School of Finance and Information Technology. The strategic appointment of well-reputed police officers to crucial positions was also discussed as part of the efforts to enhance the police force’s capabilities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, commemorative shields were exchanged between the Sindh Police and the National Institute of Management (NIM). Participants of the Senior Management Course expressed their gratitude to the Sindh Police for the informative session and the opportunity to share experiences and insights.

The event was attended by all Additional Inspectors General of Police (AIGP) and Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGP) posted in the CPO, emphasizing the significance of this engagement in fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between senior management and the police force.
