Islamabad, Senator Sana Jamali provided an educational briefing to a group of students from the Model Council of Common Interests (CCI) project of the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Pakistan at the Parliament House.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the visit included 30 students from 27 universities participating in the HSF’s flagship CCI project. Senator Jamali, the Convener of the Education Parliamentarians Caucus, along with Mir Shae Mazar Baloch, Director General Coordination Senate, offered insights into the Education Parliamentarians Caucus’s functions and the essential role of education in parliamentary matters.
Senator Jamali gave the students an overview of the Senate’s history, structure, and its critical role in Pakistan’s legislative process. The visit also featured a documentary that traced the evolution of the Senate, deepening the students’ understanding of its historical significance. The group toured the Senate hall and museum, experiencing the architectural and historical aspects of this key legislative body.
The Model CCI project by HSF Pakistan aims to simulate parliamentary proceedings for students, enhancing their knowledge of governance and policy development.
