Islamabad: Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), has reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to aiding the most vulnerable sectors of Pakistan’s population, focusing on inclusivity across religious and social divides. During a recent meeting with representatives from the Pakistan People’s Party Minority Wing of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Senator Khalid emphasized the program’s equitable approach to assistance.
According to Press Information Department, Senator Khalid detailed the mechanisms BISP uses to register beneficiaries, which are designed to be both scientific and transparent, adhering to the specific directives of Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister. She highlighted that the program’s policies are structured to guarantee equal access to all eligible individuals, ensuring that aid distribution is free from discrimination.
The meeting also addressed concerns presented by the minority delegation regarding obstacles their members face during the registration process. Senator Khalid responded by instructing her staff to promptly prioritize and address these issues, thereby streamlining access to support for affected community members.
