Islamabad: Senator Rubina Khalid, serving as the Chairperson for the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), has openly expressed support for enhancing aid to minority communities in Pakistan. During her recent discussion with Mr. Anthony Naveed, Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Provincial Assembly, at the BISP headquarters, the focus was on improving the support structures for needy Christian families identified in a recent survey by the programme.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting emphasized BISP’s ongoing efforts to tailor its initiatives to benefit the minority community significantly. The program aims to ensure that these groups receive adequate support and relief. Senator Khalid reaffirmed to Mr. Naveed the programme’s commitment to inclusivity and equitable assistance for all underprivileged groups across the country.
