Islamabad, The Senate Standing Committee on Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives convened today at Parliament House to elect Senator Quratulain Marri as its new chairperson. Senator Shahadat Awan proposed her nomination, which was seconded by Senator Jam Saifullah Khan, leading to her election.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the meeting was attended by Senators Shahadat Awan, Dr. Afnan Ullah Khan, Khalil Tahir, Zeeshan Khanzada, and Jam Saifullah Khan, along with Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider. The committee is expected to oversee critical planning and developmental initiatives under Senator Marri’s leadership.
