Islamabad: Senator Irfan Siddiqui, leader of the parliamentary party of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the Senate and Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the party’s performance in the Senate and the role of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
According to Press Information Department, during the meeting held at the Prime Minister House, Senator Siddiqui provided an overview of the Senate’s activities and the Foreign Affairs Committee’s efforts. He also congratulated Prime Minister Sharif on the government’s progress in achieving economic objectives and stabilizing the country’s economy.
Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged the contributions of Pakistan Muslim League (N) senators under Siddiqui’s leadership and emphasized the importance of the upper house in promoting national unity and provincial harmony. He urged the parliamentary group to maintain strong relationships with other parties to support this goal. The Prime Minister also highlighted the critical role of a robust foreign policy, expressing hope that the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs would continue to offer strategic guidance to the government.
