Islamabad: Senator Amir Waliuddin Chishti, Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services, addressed a ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The event, which was attended by Chinese Vice Minister Liu Haixing and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, among other dignitaries, underscored the enduring partnership between the two nations.
According to the Senate of Pakistan, Senator Chishti, who was invited by the Government of China, emphasized the steadfast friendship between Pakistan and China, underscored by mutual trust and shared goals. He supported the proposals of the Chinese Vice Minister to enhance political cooperation, ensuring that collaborative benefits reach all regions of Pakistan.
Senator Chishti highlighted the significance of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), advocating for a focus on various sectors, including industrialization and agriculture modernization, which are poised to benefit the populace. He pointed out that strengthened political and economic ties could transform connectivity into prosperity.
Further, Senator Chishti stressed the importance of political party exchanges and people-to-people interactions to deepen bilateral ties. Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to its strategic partnership with China, he expressed optimism that enhanced economic cooperation would fortify the friendship between the countries.
