Senate Votes to Recognize September 7 as a National Holiday in Pakistan

Islamabad: The Senate of Pakistan passed a resolution today to officially recognize September 7 as a national holiday, commemorating the day when Qadianis were declared a non-Muslim minority by the Parliament.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the resolution highlights the historical significance of the day, not only for Pakistan but for the Muslim world, celebrating the culmination of a prolonged struggle by the Muslim community. Following the unanimous decision, the session was adjourned.
