Senate Introduces Multiple Bills in Islamabad Session

ISLAMABAD, The Senate convened a session chaired by Sadiq Sanjrani at the Parliament House in Islamabad, where several new bills were introduced. These bills encompass a wide range of topics, including amendments to imports and exports control, civil servants, tree cutting prohibition, Ehsaas targeted subsidies, child marriage restraint, and public procurement regulation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the introduced bills also included proposals for a Pakistan Emergency Treatment Coverage Programme, amendments to the National Security Council, National Database and Registration Authority, Limited Liability Partnership, Injured Persons (Medical Aid), Islamabad Capital Territory Charities Registration, Regulation and Facilitation, Islamabad Capital Territory Protection of Breast-Feeding and Child Nutrition, Provincial Motor Vehicles, and the Pakistan Penal Code. The chair of the Senate session referred these bills to the respective standing committees for further review. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene at 10:30 AM the following day.
