Islamabad, The Senate of Pakistan introduced four new bills for consideration on Monday, covering various aspects of governance and public welfare. These bills are set to bring amendments to existing laws and introduce new measures to enhance the operational efficiency of state-owned enterprises and the legal framework.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the bills introduced include “The State Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) (Amendment) Bill, 2023”, “The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2023”, “The Smart Institute of Sciences and Technology (Amendment) Bill, 2023”, and “The Right of Access to Information (Amendment) Bill, 2023.” Following their introduction, the chair of the Senate referred these bills to the respective Standing Committees for further review and discussion.
