Islamabad: The House Business Advisory Committee of the Senate convened at the Parliament House on Wednesday, under the leadership of Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan. The meeting focused on the legislative agenda for the upcoming 350th Session of the Senate, alongside discussions on pressing national and international matters.
The session is expected to extend until Friday, May 23, 2025, with a comprehensive review of legislative proposals and debates on current issues on the schedule. The Committee emphasized the significance of these discussions for shaping future policy directions.
During the meeting, members paid tribute to the late Senator Prof. Sajid Mir, acknowledging his dedication and significant contributions. Acting Chairman Syedaal Khan, along with Committee members, highlighted Prof. Mir’s enduring legacy in the Senate.
Attendance at the meeting included prominent figures such as Senator Sherry Rehman, Senator Irfan ul Haq Siddiqui, and Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, among others. Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider provided a detailed briefing on the legislative business slated for the session.
