Senate Honors Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem with Resolution for Olympic Gold


Islamabad: The Senate of Pakistan passed a unanimous resolution today, lauding Arshad Nadeem for his outstanding achievement in winning a Gold medal in Javelin throw at the Paris Olympics. Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar spearheaded the motion, celebrating Nadeem’s dedication and hard work, which has set a motivational benchmark for the youth of Pakistan.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the resolution not only acknowledged Nadeem’s success as a significant national accomplishment but also called on the government to enhance sports facilities at educational levels ranging from schools to universities. This initiative aims to cultivate a fertile environment for young athletes to excel in various sporting disciplines.



The resolution expressed confidence in Nadeem’s potential for garnering more international accolades in the future, thereby uplifting Pakistan’s global stature and continuing to inspire young individuals. Additionally, the Senate session was a busy one, with the introduction of several bills including amendments to laws concerning civil servants, wildlife trade, family laws, and anti-terrorism measures. Among other legislative activities, a bill aimed at establishing the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Technology was forwarded for approval in a joint parliamentary meeting.



The Senate is scheduled to reconvene on Thursday at 10:30 AM for further discussions.
