ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Devolution took place at the Parliament House, chaired by Senator Dr. Zarqa Suharwardy Taimur. The gathering, which included Senators Fawzia Arshad, Poonjo Bheel, and Zamir Hussain Ghumro, focused on the committee’s annual report and future engagements.
During the session, the committee discussed and adopted the Annual Report, outlining the past year’s activities and achievements. The report serves as a comprehensive account of the committee’s efforts in addressing devolution matters.
In addition to the report’s adoption, the committee laid out plans for upcoming visits to various provinces. These visits are scheduled for Punjab at the end of July, Sindh at the end of August, and Balochistan at the end of September. The planned trips aim to facilitate discussions with local authorities and communities on devolution-related issues.
