Senate Commences Session with Oath-Taking and Leadership Elections in Islamabad

Islamabad, The Senate session, presided over by Senator Ishaq Dar, is currently underway at the Parliament House, where newly elected members are set to take their oaths, followed by the crucial elections for the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the house.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the session’s agenda prioritizes the formal induction of the new Senators, who will swear in to uphold their duties to the nation. Subsequently, the legislative body will proceed with the election process to appoint its leadership, marking an important procedural development within the Senate’s governing structure.

This session is particularly significant as it will determine the next set of leaders who will steer the upper house of Pakistan’s bicameral legislature.
