Islamabad, At the Higher Education Commission (HEC) convention titled “Youth — Pivot of National Integration” in Islamabad, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani emphasized the vital role of youth in fostering national unity and diversity.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Senate praised HEC for assembling a diverse group of participants from all over the country. He highlighted the strengths of Pakistan, including its skilled and hardworking population, comparing favorably with other nations with more resources but less human capital. Sanjrani underlined the need for diligence and assured that hard work would lead to rewards.
He acknowledged HEC’s role in establishing universities in Balochistan, pointing out the positive changes in the province’s mindset. Progress in infrastructure, electricity, and the establishment of a university in District Chaghi, Pakistan’s largest district, were cited as examples of this transformation.
Chairman Senate stressed the importance of strong institutions and competent teachers for national advancement. He advocated for a shift in perspective away from pessimism, emphasizing Pakistan’s abundant resources.
Sanjrani, taking pride in the development of Balochistan, encouraged the youth to actively participate in the country’s growth. He emphasized the significance of each individual in the governance system and their role in national development.
He also rejected the colonial era mindset, reminding the audience of Pakistan’s status as a free and sovereign nation with collective responsibilities. He praised the youth for holding those in power accountable and underscored the need for unity in facing challenges.
Furthermore, Chairman Senate proposed a collaboration with HEC to organize a similar youth convention in Gwadar or Quetta, Balochistan, after the elections. This initiative aims to engage youth in shaping the nation’s future.
Lahore, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has been actively involved in overseeing the prompt completion of various police development projects in Lahore. During his early morning visits, he inspected several ongoing construction sites and issued directives to expedite the work.
According to Punjab Police, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s recent visits included inspections of the development projects at Qurban Police Lines. He reviewed the progress of under-construction offices for DIG and SSP Tele Transport and instructed the completion of the upgradation work of the Police Mess at Qurban Lines.
Dr. Anwar later visited the site of the under-construction Mega Police Khidmat Center in Shadman, where he examined the construction activities. Stressing the importance of the Police Khidmat Center as a significant public service project, he emphasized the need to ensure its timely completion. The Shadman Khidmat Center, once completed, is expected to offer over 14 policing and driving-related services to citizens.
The IG Punjab remarked that the primary goal behind improving police infrastructure is to enhance public service delivery. His visit was accompanied by MD Safe City Authority Ahsan Younas, DIG Tele Transport Imran Ahmar, DIG Elite Mansoor ul Haq Rana, DIG Operations Lahore Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, SSP Tele Transport Asad Sarfaraz Khan, SSP Operations Lahore Ali Raza, Chief Operating Officer Safe City Mustansar Feroze, AIG Operations Punjab Dr. Asad Ijaz Malhi, SP Model Town, ASP Gulberg, and other officers.
These inspections and the subsequent directives are part of the ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of police services in the province.
