Islamabad, At the Higher Education Commission (HEC) convention titled “Youth — Pivot of National Integration” in Islamabad, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani emphasized the vital role of youth in fostering national unity and diversity.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Senate praised HEC for assembling a diverse group of participants from all over the country. He highlighted the strengths of Pakistan, including its skilled and hardworking population, comparing favorably with other nations with more resources but less human capital. Sanjrani underlined the need for diligence and assured that hard work would lead to rewards.
He acknowledged HEC’s role in establishing universities in Balochistan, pointing out the positive changes in the province’s mindset. Progress in infrastructure, electricity, and the establishment of a university in District Chaghi, Pakistan’s largest district, were cited as examples of this transformation.
Chairman Senate stressed the importance of strong institutions and competent teachers for national advancement. He advocated for a shift in perspective away from pessimism, emphasizing Pakistan’s abundant resources.
Sanjrani, taking pride in the development of Balochistan, encouraged the youth to actively participate in the country’s growth. He emphasized the significance of each individual in the governance system and their role in national development.
He also rejected the colonial era mindset, reminding the audience of Pakistan’s status as a free and sovereign nation with collective responsibilities. He praised the youth for holding those in power accountable and underscored the need for unity in facing challenges.
Furthermore, Chairman Senate proposed a collaboration with HEC to organize a similar youth convention in Gwadar or Quetta, Balochistan, after the elections. This initiative aims to engage youth in shaping the nation’s future.
