Senate Chairman Sanjrani and CPPCC Chairperson Wang Discuss Bilateral Ties in Beijing Meeting

BEIJING, Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, met with H.E Mr. Wang Huning, the Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), deepening the longstanding friendship between the two nations. During this significant meeting, discussions revolved around enhanced parliamentary exchanges, mutual political support, and the strengthening of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to a new release by the Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Sanjrani congratulated Mr. Wang on his election as the Chairperson of the CPPCC National Committee and lauded China for the 3rd Belt and Road Forum’s success. He highlighted the steadfast bond between China and Pakistan, extending his gratitude for China’s principled stance on issues pertinent to Kashmir and Palestine. Stressing the importance of bolstered parliamentary exchanges, Sanjrani invited Chairman Wang to visit Pakistan.

In return, Chairman Wang acknowledged Pakistan’s unwavering political backing on subjects of core interest to China. He accentuated the need to amplify economic cooperation, particularly within CPEC, and acknowledged the profound people-to-people ties binding the two countries. Wang underlined the significance of continuing to cultivate these interactions.

The reason for Chairman Senate’s visit to Beijing is to partake in the International Symposium marking the 10th Anniversary of President Xi’s philosophy of “Amity, Sincerity, Mutual Benefit, and Inclusiveness in Neighbourhood Diplomacy.”
