Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has condemned the recent unprovoked aggression by Afghan forces along Pakistan’s border, labeling it a violation of international law and fundamental human rights.
In a statement, Gilani expressed concern over the firing on civilian populations and Pakistan’s territorial integrity breach, describing these actions as threats to regional peace and stability. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peace and its support for a stable Afghanistan.
Gilani commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their response to the aggression, affirming the nation’s unity behind its military. He expressed confidence in the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the armed forces’ capability to respond to any aggression.
