ISLAMABAD, Chairman Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, has emphasized Pakistan’s unyielding commitment to supporting the China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) in advancing the nation’s minerals sector. This assurance was given during his meeting with a high-ranking MCC delegation in Beijing, where both parties underscored the significance of collaborative efforts in the mineral domain.
According to a new release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions, which revolved around bolstering cooperation in the mineral sector, led to a series of noteworthy developments and reaffirmed promises of an enduring partnership. Sanjrani, during the dialogue, extended his commendation to MCC for their invaluable work in Pakistan. He notably highlighted the company’s transformative success with the Duddar project, which has brought profitability while simultaneously benefiting the local community.
Further advancing their collaboration, the assembly brought forth the prospect of an innovative new endeavor located in Chagai, to function within the framework of an Export Processing Zone (EPZ). The MCC delegation reciprocated this dedication to mutual growth, expressing an eagerness to further invest in Pakistan’s mineral landscape, especially in the regions of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A pivotal proposal made during this meeting was the establishment of an EPZ for metal mining, an initiative projected to galvanize innovation and expansion in the minerals sector.
