Islamabad, Chairman Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, leading a delegation from Pakistan, held productive discussions with CIDCA Chairman Luo Zhaohui at the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) headquarters in Beijing. The central focus of these high-level talks was the strengthening of bilateral relations between Pakistan and China and the exploration of joint development projects, including the construction of the International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC) headquarters in Islamabad.
According to a news release by the Senate of Pakistan, the meeting, convened at CIDCA’s main office, was characterized by mutual understanding and the intent to collaborate further. Chairman Sanjrani, representing the Pakistani delegation, conveyed appreciation for China’s consistent support in various developmental projects in Pakistan, especially those facilitated by CIDCA.
With an emphasis on the vital role of the Parliament in driving national policies, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani spotlighted the ongoing efforts to amplify Pakistan’s parliamentary system. The discussions then pivoted towards the construction of the IPC headquarters, a project visualized to symbolize international parliamentary cooperation. Sanjrani noted, “The IPC headquarters will act as a beacon for international unity, enabling legislators worldwide to collaboratively address common global objectives through parliamentary diplomacy.”
Chairman Luo Zhaohui, echoing CIDCA’s stance, assured continued support from China in Pakistan’s developmental journey. He emphasized the agency’s dedication to supplying the requisite resources, technical expertise, and guidance for a spectrum of initiatives.
