Islamabad: Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani met with Algerian Ambassador Brahim Romani to discuss the expansion of Pakistan-Algeria relations and explore new cooperation avenues. The meeting focused on enhancing trade and economic ties, with particular emphasis on sectors like information technology, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Chairman Gilani highlighted the underutilized potential of trade between the two nations, suggesting that Algeria could benefit from importing high-quality Pakistani rice. He pointed out significant opportunities for mutual growth in various sectors beyond the existing collaborations.
Ambassador Romani expressed appreciation for the Senate Chairman’s initiatives and agreed on the importance of deepening bilateral relations. He reaffirmed Algeria’s view of Pakistan as a key partner and voiced support for broadening mutual ties further.
