Islamabad: The Senate has approved the Seed Amendment Bill, 2024, in a session marked by collaboration between treasury and opposition members. The session, highlighted by an address from Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, was praised by Chairman Senate Yousuf Raza Gillani for enhancing the stature of the Upper House.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Seed Amendment Bill was introduced by Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain. Following the bill’s passage, the Senate session was adjourned and is scheduled to reconvene on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
