Seminar on Mother’s Day Highlights the Suffering of Kashmiri Mothers in IIOJK

Islamabad, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK chapter conducted a seminar on International Mother’s Day to discuss the ongoing struggles of mothers in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, whose sons have disappeared or are detained by Indian forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the seminar, chaired by APHC-AJK Convener Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, focused on the resilience of Kashmiri women against the brutalities inflicted by Indian military and police forces. Speakers at the seminar detailed the oppressive tactics used against women, including torture and humiliation, and highlighted the broader impact of Indian state terrorism on families in the region.

The speakers, a diverse group of leaders and activists, condemned the systematic oppression and called for international attention to the plight of these mothers. They urged global organizations and the United Nations to intervene and support the rights of Kashmiri women, emphasizing the need for acknowledgment and action against the injustices faced by these communities.

The seminar served as a platform to voice the silent suffering of thousands of mothers and families in IIOJK, advocating for their cause on a day dedicated to recognizing mothers’ struggles worldwide.
