Security Ramp-up in Rajouri and Poonch Ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s Visit to Jammu

Jammu, In anticipation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Jammu, authorities have significantly tightened security measures across the Rajouri and Poonch districts. This security enhancement comes as the Prime Minister is expected to engage in several key activities, including addressing a public rally and inaugurating multiple development projects during his visit.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Prime Minister Modi’s visit is scheduled for February 20, during which he will conduct a daylong series of events in Jammu. A major highlight of his itinerary is a public rally set to take place at Maulana Azad Stadium, located in the central area of Jammu city. In addition to his public address, Modi is slated to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various projects virtually, engage with the public through video conferencing, and distribute job letters to the youth.

In preparation for the Prime Minister’s visit, Indian forces have intensified their vigilance in the twin border districts, ensuring heightened security measures are in place.
