Islamabad: In a series of targeted actions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistani security forces have successfully neutralized five terrorists in three separate operations. These efforts are part of ongoing operations to maintain peace and counter-terrorism activities in the region.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the operations included a significant engagement in Mohmand District where three terrorists were killed and their hideout was destroyed. The operation also led to the recovery of a substantial cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives. Tragically, during this intense exchange of fire, Police Constable Abrar Hussain of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police was killed.

In Dera Ismail Khan District, another operation was conducted where terrorists were engaged, resulting in the death of Kharji Sifatullah, a prominent terrorist involved in numerous activities including the facilitation of a suicide bombing attack in Daraban on December 12, 2023.
