Security Forces Suffer Losses in North Waziristan, Eliminate Six Insurgents


A clash in the Spinwam area has resulted in the deaths of six insurgents and the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shoukat and five soldiers, as per official sources. According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the confrontation occurred during a sanitation operation aimed at eradicating terrorist elements from the area. Lieutenant Colonel Shoukat, noted for his leadership on the front lines, and his team engaged in a fierce firefight that also saw the elimination of six Khwarij insurgents. In a related operation in the Charbagh Swat district, law enforcement agencies successfully conducted a joint intelligence-based mission, resulting in the death of two insurgents, including ring leader Atta Ullah alias Mehran. Mehran was implicated in various terrorist activities, including a recent attack involving an improvised explosive device targeting a police vehicle escorting foreign dignitaries. An ongoing sanitation operation continues in the area to secure it from any remaining insurgent
threats. The ISPR has stated that these actions reflect Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to combat and ultimately eliminate terrorism from the nation.
