Security Forces Neutralize Militants in South Waziristan, Suffer Losses


Islamabad: An intense firefight occurred in South Waziristan District between the Security Forces of Pakistan and militants, identified as Khwarij, resulting in significant casualties on both sides.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the confrontation, which took place on the night of August 12, led to the death of six militants. However, the exchange also claimed the lives of four Pakistani soldiers: Havildar Nisar Hussain, Naik Rashid Gul, Naik Irfan Ullah Khan, and Sep Usman Rafaqat, who are hailed for their bravery and sacrifice. The fallen soldiers, ranging in age from 21 to 34, were residents of Districts Kurram, Lakki Marwat, and Haripur.



Following the incident, the Security Forces have initiated a sanitization operation in the area to root out any remaining militants, reaffirming their commitment to eliminating terrorism and upholding national security.
